CAMPAIGN PLATFORM & ISSUES

Unhoused Neighbors:

The 4th district faces increasing challenges with unhoused individuals flooding social service agencies due to lack of shelter resources. Staff shortages and funding issues hinder the necessary care for them. The community must unite to find solutions and support these vulnerable families and individuals, especially considering the average age of homelessness is just seven years old in America.

Public Safety:

Ensuring safety for all residents is a priority, however, the community faces gun violence and drug issues challenges. We hope for improved police-community relations, and positive changes, such as crime prevention programs and an increase in support for our community members who experience mental health crises.

Economic Development:

The economic development challenges faced by District Four, include a decline in construction projects due to the economic collapse caused by Covid-19. The goal is to prioritize affordable housing and other construction projects in the district to meet the needs of residents. We must work to improve the quality of employment opportunities and qualified applicants to achieve economic growth, stability, and prosperity for the community.
